Finally, an update on the house!

Well, everything is framed on the house and the new garage. If the weather cooperates, the guys will probably shingle tomorrow. Windows are suppose to arrive in a week. Our cabinet maker came and measured for cabinets (there are a ton, my kitchen will be huge!) on Thursday. We made a couple of changes and will probably order tomorrow. Hopefully electric and plumbing will get started this week. We are making progress! Now if it will just quit raining so we can work on the house and Boyd can get some harvesting done.

2009 has been a crazy year. Starting out with having a new baby boy and finishing it out with adding on to the house and shop as well as harvest being about a month delayed. I knew when I saw this buck coming that it was one I wanted. I watched him work a scrape about 50 yards away and then spar and fight a little with a smaller buck before stepping into a perfect shooting lane and allowing me to make a perfect 25 yard shot. I recovered him in less than 45 yards (in some of the thickest brush on the property!) and he should score about 145.

It is October 10th and we woke up to more than an inch of snow. Ackkkk!

New Glasses!

Erin finally received her glasses. We are hoping that they are the correct prescription and trying to figure out whether or not they are having an impact. I looked through them last night and was surprised at how strong they are. Isaac had to show off his lenses too!

Day out with Thomas

Yesterday we met Grandma & Papa in Boone. Erin had a lot of fun, but was completely exhausted!

No house news!

Well, there isn't any house news right now. Hopefully they will start framing this week. Here are a couple of recent pictures. Erin started 3 year-old playshop and loves it. We went to Hampton for a party at Dustin's cabin. It was a lot of fun and Papa even let Erin drive the Gator. When we got home Isaac got to 'drive' our new 4-wheeler.
