Day out with Thomas

Yesterday we met Grandma & Papa in Boone. Erin had a lot of fun, but was completely exhausted!

No house news!

Well, there isn't any house news right now. Hopefully they will start framing this week. Here are a couple of recent pictures. Erin started 3 year-old playshop and loves it. We went to Hampton for a party at Dustin's cabin. It was a lot of fun and Papa even let Erin drive the Gator. When we got home Isaac got to 'drive' our new 4-wheeler.

I am trying to figure out how to get my text in the correct location. Obviously I'm not having much luck. Also, feel free to add comments to any posts! Of course they had better be nice ones.

Catching up!

Here is the trench on the east side. It is difficult to see how bad the wall is in the picture. The 'wall guys' are supposed to come tomorrow (Wednesday) to tear out the wall and put in new block. Yesterday the plumber installed the tubing for our floor heat. Today Gary poured our basement floor and worked on tiling around the new part. Tomorrow our contractor is going to come and frame the concrete lid to the vault. The basement waterproofers are also coming tomorrow to waterproof the new part.

House Update!

The footings have been poured for the garage and the basement. The garage is ready to have the floor poured in the morning. We managed to cut the electric to the shop and the phone line. So, we had to have guys come out and run temporary lines for the electric and phone. It was a busy day! Tomorrow should be just as busy. We hope to have the garage floor poured along with the basement walls. Gary is also going to dig along the east wall of the house so that we can fix the foundation.
